Rich Corn Cake


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar 
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 milk
  • 2 eggs- beaten well
  • 4 Tbsp butter- melted



  1. Whisk dry ingredients together.
  2. Thoroughly mix the rest of the ingredients minus the butter thoroughly. Add the dry ingredients.
  3. Whisk in the butter till smooth
  4. Pour into a lightly greased 9 by 9 pan or pie pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
