Lydia's Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter - soft
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups of your favorite chocolate chips or more.
- Cream the butter and sugars till light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, sour cream and vanilla.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and slowly add to the creamed mixture. Add the chocolate chips by hand.
- Chill the dough.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Roll the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 6 cookies per pan work best.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or till the cookies start to golden. Yields 18 cookies.
