Citrus triangles
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest
1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest
1 tablespoon orange juice
14 teaspoon lemon extract
2 12 cups all-purpose flour
12 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons multi-colored decorator candies
- STEP 1Combine butter and sugar in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add egg, lemon zest, orange zest, orange juice and lemon extract; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour and baking powder; beat at low speed until well mixed. Mix in decorator candies.
- STEP 2Divide dough in half; shape each half into 8-inch long log. Flatten sides to form triangle on waxed paper. (Use waxed paper to help shape triangle). Wrap each half in plastic food wrap. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
