Classic Pie Crust


  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cold water



  1. Cut the shortening in the salt and flour till it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Mix in the water a little at a time until barely mixed.
  3. Roll out on a floured surface sandwiched between plastic wrap to twice the size of the pie pan.
