Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Cream the first five ingredients till light and fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time. Once added, add the vanilla
- Mix all dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the cream mixture until just incorporated. Hand mix in the desired amount of chocolate chips
- Form balls of dough and with a fork, form a criss-cross pattern in the top
- Bake at 350 degrees for 9-14 minutes or till golden brown
