Pumpkin Pie
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp fresh ginger - ground
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp cloves
- 3 eggs- beaten
- 2 cups pumpkin- 1 large can
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- Mix the first 8 ingredients very well.
- Mix in the last ingredients into the eggs and then mix everything together.
- Once everything is mixed well, pour into a raw or precooked pie shell and bake at 400 degrees for 45-50 minutes or till the sides are sed and the middle still wobbles.
- Cool completely, top with whipped cream and enjoy!
I love this recipe! I've been making it for years now. I have baked the pie in a raw shell and prebaked. Both are very good. I would suggest if you don't want to over bake the filling or the crust, bake the shell at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, add the filling, and bake for the requested time. That way you get a perfect crust and filling.
