Candy Cane Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 1/4Cups Butter. soft
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp Peppermint Extract
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 2 3/4 Cups Flour
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1/3 Cup finely crushed Candy Canes
- 1/4 Tsp Red Food Coloring
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°. In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, egg, peppermint extract, and vanilla till creamy.
- Reduce speed and add the flour and salt.
- Half the doughs. In one half, fold in the candy cane pieces and in the other, the red food coloring.
- For each candy cane, roll 1 tsp full of each dough to tiny ropes. Set side by side and twist gently.
- Place cookies 2 inches away from each other and bake for 10-12 minutes or till lightly golden on the edges.
- Tip! If dough is too dry, add milk. If too soft, refrigerate for 1 hour and add 1-2 Tbsp flour.
