Chex Mix
A holiday favorite. It only tastes good between
Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In a large aluminum roaster pan, mix the
following:
4 cups Rice Chex
4 cups Corn Chex
4 cups Wheat Chex
2 cups Cheez-it Crackers
2 cups small pretzel twists or rods
1 can (8 oz.) cashew pieces or deluxe mixed nuts
(NO peanuts)
In a sauce pan melt together the following:
2 sticks (1/2 pound) butter
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
In a small dish mix together the following:
1 tsp Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
1 tsp Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
Directions

Preheat oven to 300.

Pour the butter / Worcestershire mix over the
dry ingredients. Stir gently to mix. Sprinkle one fourth of the seasoning all
over the top.

Bake 15 minutes. Remove from the oven; stir, and
season again.
4.
Repeat bake / stir / season activity four times
for a total bake time of one hour.
5.
Set out to cool completely.
6.
Store in an airtight container.
